DESCRIPTION:Location: PNC Achievement Center\, Parklands of Floyds Fork Google Map Link \nDate/Time: June 22\, 2024 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm \nDCFF Point of Contact:  John Froehlich\, wolleybugger9014@gmail.com\, 270-314-0362 \nDescription:  This event is offered by the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife in partnership with Derby City Fly Fishers and The Parklands of Floyds Fork.  Join us and learn the basics of fly-fishing including rod and reel setups\, casting\, fly types\, basic gear\, and knot tying. Attendees will have the opportunity to join a mentored fly-fishing trip. This class is free to attend\, but you must have a valid Kentucky fishing license. All equipment is provided.  \nNote: To participate as a student you must register with KDFWR for this event (must be 16 or older to register or be accompanied by an adult.)  The event is limited to 25 participants – first come\, first serve.
