This program is designed to meet the needs of the complete beginner\nand ‘experts’ alike; whatever an expert is. All fishing will be from drift boats or rafts. Being able to cast a flyrod is certainly\nhelpful\, but not a requirement as on-the-river instruction is readily available. WKU has successfully offered this program since\n2012 to participants with a wide range of abilities (no prior experience through fly-fishing guide). \nSlots: 17 (once slots filled interested participants can sign up on waiting list) \nProgram description introduction: Join WKU and experience fly fishing on world-renowned waters containing 5 species of\ntrout: rainbow\, brown\, cutthroat\, hybrid cut bow\, and brook. SUMMARY:White River Indiana Trip
DESCRIPTION:Location: White River near Anderson\, Indiana. About 2 ½ hours north of Louisville. \nDates: September 12-15\, 2024 (Thursday – Saturday) \nCoordinator: Brian Kaluzny – brian@derbycityflyfishers.com \nLevel 2 Trip – You Should be able to manage your leader and tippet and tie-on flies.  You should also be able to cast at least 30 feet. \nNumber of Spots: unlimited \nEquipment: 5-7 wt rods\, weight forward floating lines primarily. Standard smallmouth flies. \n  \nAn Indiana fishing license is required.  Click here to purchase. \nOuting Details: Wade and float for smallmouth on the White River northeast of Indianapolis. This is a three-day two-night primitive camping trip hosted by our brethren at Three Rivers Fly Fishers out of Fort Wayne\, Indiana. This is going to be an informal weekend camping trip. Our hosts will assist us in wade fishing and or floating the White River mostly between Farmland and Anderson. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the campsite if you so choose. \nLodging:  Camping and rendezvous point at Canoe Country – 6600 South County Road\, Dalesville\, IN 47334 www.canoeindiana.com Camping is primitive – restrooms onsite but no showers. \nCost: Camping is complimentary and provided by our hosts: Canoe Country and Three Rivers Fly Fishers.
