DESCRIPTION:Our Fly Tying Classes are open to everyone – you do not have to be a member to attend.  Generally we tie one fly\, but we tie it twice.  An instructor demonstrates\, step-by-step\, how to tie the fly with accompanying video on a big screen TV so students can see each step. \nTools and materials are provided at no cost\, but if you have your own tools feel free to bring them. \nBeginners are welcome.  There will be experienced tiers available to provide individual help. \n \n  \nThis Month\, Mike Parker will be tying the “Articulated Parker Fly”. \nMaterial list:  Articulated “Parker Fly” \nHook- #12 jig hook Umpqua U660BL-BN\, Tiemco 403BLT\, Firehole 516\, Fulling Mills FM5045 \nBead- 4.6mm or 3/16 Copper or Gold Slotted Tungsten \nShank- Chocklett Factory 15mm standard shank \nConnector- 30-50# black backing (or color w/sharpie) \nTail- Black Rabbit \nBody- Hareline UV Polar Chenille (olive brown uv) \nCollar- (optional) Hareline \nPheasant tail Ice Dub \nThread- 6/0 Black Veevus\, Danville\, UTC\, MFC\,etc. \nA great winter pattern fished on or near the bottom using a slight “jigging” motion on retrieval.
