DESCRIPTION:Associated with the 2020 Greater Cincinnati Fly Fishing Show (Saturday\, Feb. 1\, 2020)\, Buckeye United Fly Fishers are offering a total of four 2-hour Fly Tying Workshops on Thursday\, Jan. 30\, and Friday\, Jan. 31.  On Thursday\, Mike Schmidt\, owner of Angler’s Choice Flies\, will be leading two workshops (2 – 4 PM & 4:30 – 6:30 PM)\, tying a mixture of his signature flies and new patterns.  On Friday\, Gary Borger\, the feature presenter for the Fly Show\, will be leading 2 tying workshops (1:30 – 3:30 pm\, and 4 – 6 pm).  Each workshop will have a maximum capacity of 24 tiers and will be held in Room Sandalwood “C” at the Oasis Conference Center (site of the Fly Show). \n  \nThese workshops are open to members of all regional Fly Fishing Clubs.  Details of the workshops as well as on-line registration and payment can be found at: \n http://buckeyeflyfishers.com/expo2020/clinhome.asp

DESCRIPTION:New to fly fishing and want some “ALMOST FREE” one-on-one instruction?  Been fly fishing for some time but want to up your game?  This instructional outing is just for you.  You do not need to be a club member to participate\, so bring a friend!  You will be charged the normal Otter Creek Entry fee of $3 at the gate. \nWe customize the instruction to fit your needs\, you just tell us what you want!  We can give beginner casting instruction with the club fly rods.  We can talk about knots\, gear\, and flies.  We can show you how to fly fish on the water (bring your waders for best results)\, both with and without an indicator.  We can show you more advanced casting techniques including: \n\ndouble hauling\nroll casting\nsingle handed spey\ntwo handed spey\n\nRegistration is not required.
