On the past several trips many participants have stayed at the Jonathan Creek Inn in Maggie Valley www.jonathancreekinn.com. This is an option as well. \nMeals: You will be responsible for all meals. Usually\, I will arrange a group dinner at a local restaurant on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for those who are interested.  \nGuided Fishing: If you are interested in a wading or float guided trip\, Maggie Valley Fly Shop is offering a 20% discount to DCFF members for this trip. SUMMARY:J. Graham Brown High School Fly Fishing Club
DESCRIPTION:DCFF is doing our part to help our youth get out on the water\, because “take a kid fishing” has always been a great idea. For a third year\, DCFF has been asked to continue our Youth Outreach Program with J. Graham Brown High School. \nTheir High School Club meets one or two Friday mornings a month at the school beginning about 9:15 am (you should be there by 9:00am.) Meetings start the week of September 6th and conclude December 13th. We usually host a graduation fishing trip to Floyd’s Fork. \nNote: The address provided below is actually the YMCA parking garage on 2nd Street.  After entering and taking your parking ticket (will be validated at the school office) proceed to either the 3rd level catwalk (for indoor meetings) or 4th level (for outdoor meetings.) \nWe have always had a great team of DCFF volunteers assisting and look to you for continued support. You do not want to miss out on this rewarding experience and you don’t need to attend every session to participate. There will be weeks when only two or three DCFF volunteers are needed. You don’t have to be an expert in all areas of fly fishing\, just basic knowledge and proficiency is all that is required. \nMike Parker will be the DCFF coordinator for this program this year. You can contact him for questions/information about the program and volunteer needs for each club meeting (kayakonthefly@gmail.com\, 530-440-5645) \nIf interested in volunteering\, contact John Froehlich (270-314-0362\, education@derbycityflyfishers.com.) He will assist with getting you setup as a volunteer and add you to the contact list the group.
