Outing Details:  We’ll be staying in the Waynesville, NC area to trout fish in several of the delayed harvest streams in the area. The Tuckasegee River, West Fork of the Pigeon River, the Upper Nantahala River, Laurel River, Davidson River, and the Shelton-Laurel Creek are all within a 1 hour drive of Waynesville and provide some of the best fishing in the area. Past trips have produced a very successful catch with fish in the 17-20 inch range common.

Lodging: You can make your own lodging accommodations or stay at the Oak Park Inn in Waynesville for which Jim Bearden will make reservations. You will be asked during the sign up process which option you prefer. Note: a number of past attendees have stayed at the Jonathan Creek Inn in Maggie Valley www.jonathancreekinn.com. Contact Joe Gahlinger if you have questions about Jonathan Creek Inn.

Meals: You will be responsible for all meals. Usually we arrange a group dinner at a local restaurant on Thursday and Friday evenings for those who are interested. The trip coordinator will gauge interest and make arrangements as needed.

The three night trip will cost approximately $300 per person for lodging (based on shared room), license, gas and food; there is no deposit required as each participant is responsible for costs.  You will also be asked during sign up if you are willing to share a room and if you want to carpool.
