Description: This event is offered by the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife in partnership with Derby City Fly Fishers and The Parklands of Floyds Fork. Join us and learn the basics of fly-fishing including rod and reel setups, casting, fly types, basic gear, and knot tying. Attendees will have the opportunity to join a mentored fly-fishing trip. This class is free to attend, but you must have a valid Kentucky fishing license. All equipment is provided.
Note: To participate as a student you must register with KDFWR for this event (must be 16 or older to register or be accompanied by an adult.) The event is limited to 25 participants – first come, first serve. Click here to register.
