Jack’s Knot

There are fishing knots and then there is “Jack’s Knot”.  Fly fisher extraordinaire and Derby City Fly Fishers member Jack Miller has invented probably the best and simplest terminal knot ever.  He has extended his knot tying techniques and has developed line to line knots as well.  He has also develop a fantastic level leader concept for indicator fishing that you’ll want to check out

There are three ways to learn the knot.  You can check out the Orvis website here at “Jack’s Knots”.  There are also You Tube Videos if you google Jack’s Knot.  The third and probably best option is to stop by Bass Pro Shops and have Jack teach you personally – you might want to call ahead just to make sure Jack’s scheduled to work in the Fly Shop and not out fishing!
