Fly Tying

Derby City Fly Fishers conducts FREE fly tying instruction for both our members and the general public from January through October.  The club supplies all tools and materials for the student to tie two flies each month with no ongoing obligation or commitment.  Our instructors and their helpers work with all tiers to make sure that every tier completes both patterns.  We tie at a pace to keep the slowest tier on task with each step.  Check out the “Calendar –>> Events” for times and locations.  The “Current Year” tab under “Fly Tying” has the current patterns for this year.  The “Flybrary” has a historic record of flies tied in past years.
