A “Fly Tying 101” session will be held Wednesday May 29, 6:30 to 8 pm in Cabela’s conference room.

So, what the heck is a “locking wrap” and what do I do with this squiggly tool? Well, we have answers for you.. We start with “this is how you put the hook in the vice” and then go step by step from there, explaining each tool, material, and steps to take to create your own flies. It will be basic 101 stuff. All tools and materials will be provided. If all goes well, some of the mysteries of fly tying will be revealed and you might even have one or two new flies.
All you need to bring is yourself and anyone else who might be interested. This class is open to the public – you do not have to be a member to participate. Class will be limited to 12 tyers and we ask that you register here.
