Salmon Camp is a popular DCFF outing that is put on and run by John Bueter of the Cloud 9 Resort. All fees and registrations forms must be sent directly to John at the address below. There is no registration on the Derby City Website for this event. If you have any questions and want some local help, call Wes Krupiczewicz at 502-938-2662. Note that for an additional fee, you can usually negotiate with John about staying on during the week between the weekends; a good corked (not screw cap) bottle of bourbon usually facilitates these discussions! We received the following invitation from John this spring:

I have spoken to a few marine biologists about the salmon’s predicament, and they all agree that there will be fishable numbers this fall. Certainly NOT the numbers that we’ve been blessed with in years past, but fishable numbers nonetheless. I intend to celebrate these magnificent fish in my home waters, and will do what’s necessary to preserve the species and tradition here. If there are changes to regulations or circumstances, I will disseminate that information when available. Please join us in this celebration, and the legion of fishers concerned and ready to do what’s right for this magnificent species.
Sincerely,
John Bueter
